Kendrick Lamar sat with legendary producer Rick Rubin for GQ in a sunny garden at Rubin’s famed Shangri-La studios in Malibu – and greatness happened.

The pair discussed 2015′s To Pimp A Butterfly, his creative process, the journey to this point – and even his forthcoming album.
“I have ideas and I have a certain approach. But I want to see what it manifests,” Kendrick told Rubin about his next album. “I want to put all the paint on the wall and see where that goes. Maybe you can help me with that.”
As the interview finishes we see both heading into Rubin’s studio, here’s to hoping we get to hear that…
