Sam Bailey is bringing the X Factor to Aylesbury this Christmas, with her pantomime debut in Dick Whittington.

The talent show winner is set to star as Fairy Bowbells in the fun family show at Aylesbury from December 11 to January 3.

The former prison guard won the nation and the judges’ hearts with her powerful voice on the X Factor in 2013, sending her debut single Skyscraper rocketing to the top of the Christmas charts.

After releasing a number one album, going on tour and writing her autobiography, Sam says she is thrilled to make her acting debut at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

She said: “I am so excited to be appearing in pantomime for the first time. I love performing in front of a live audience and to see people of all ages having a wonderful time over Christmas is going to be brilliant.

“I know my kids will love seeing their Mummy dressed up in the sparkly costume, and I can’t wait to try my fairy wings on! It’s going to be so much fun.”

Dick Whittington tells the classic rags to riches tale of a young man and his cat on a quest for fame and fortune.

Featuring all the traditional pantomime ingredients; sensational songs, a live band, dazzling dance routines, slapstick comedy and audience participation.
