Traffic in Marlow will grind to a halt on Sunday for make way for the return of an annual favourite as runners replace cars on the town’s roads.
The Marlow 5 race, now in its 32nd year, will see over 1000 competitors take to the streets to battle it out to be crowned this year’s champion.
Streets across town, including the High Street, Spittal Street, Marlow Bridge and parts of West Street, will be closed for the duration of the five-mile race which starts at 9.30am.
Closures will be put in place, with organisers expecting to reopen all roads before lunchtime as the last of the runners completes the course, which starts and ends in Higginson Park.
The annual race, sponsored by Grant and Stone, is organised by Wycombe-based Handy Cross Runners.
