Members of a Marlow running club handed over a cheque to a trust which looks after one of Marlow’s best-loved open spaces.
Marlow Striders raised £1300 for the upkeep of Riley Park, held in trust for the town, and presented a cheque at its AGM.
The running club named the trust as one of its two nominated charities for last year, and also presented a cheque to the Wycombe Homeless Connection.
Members’ donation to Riley Park paid for part of the centenary ‘Heritage Trail’ - a series of lecterns around the park telling the story of the history of Marlow through its many institutions.
Trustee Tony Shannon said the donation from the running club was a timely and fitting gift.
He said: "This is most appreciated, particularly at a time when the Trust were celebrating and marking the Centenary and were determined that there should be a lasting record of the occasion.
"Riley Park Trust continues to provide open access for a healthy lifestyle and this is done without support from the public purse."
