One of Marlow’s most recognisable faces will step down this evening from the role she has held for two years.
Marlow mayor Suzanne Brown is expected to hand the chains to a fellow councillor at the town’s annual meeting at Court Garden tonight.
The evening will start at 7.15pm, with the outgoing mayor also making presentations to her nominated charities Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Marlow Opportunity Playgroup.
Cllr Brown has held the role since 2013, having been nominated by colleagues to spend a second year in the ceremonial role.
She has since raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity and attended scores of events on behalf of the town.
