A groundbreaking project using archaeology to aid the recovery of injured soldiers will be under the spotlight this evening at a special talk in Marlow.
Archaeology in Marlow will hear a lecture by Phil Andrews about Operation Nightingale – which sees servicemen hurt in Afghanistan working on history projects as they make their recoveries.
The project includes Barrow Clump on Salisbury Plain, where the team of soldiers and archaeologists unearthed a major 6th century burial site containing 60 graves with a host of artefacts from jewellery to shield bosses, spears and a sword.
The talk takes place at Liston Hall tonight. Tickets cost £3 for members and £4 for non-members.
