Fire at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa
Concerned staff at the luxurious Danesfield House Hotel and Spa called firefighters yesterday after a blaze started in a chimney.
Bucks Fire and Rescue crews from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield raced to the scene to extinguish the fire in the main hall of the Medmenham hotel at about 12.15pm on Saturday.
The hotel is often visited by the rich and famous, with George Clooney and Amal Clooney holding their wedding ceremony in the venue earlier this year.
It is not yet clear if there was any damage in the Henley Road property.
Firefighters confirmed that they used chimney gear, a hose reel and a turntable ladder.
