The fate of Marlow’s greenbelt continues to hang in the balance as the decision date for a solar park has been extended.
Energy firm Anesco want to erect hundreds of solar panels on land in Little Marlow earmarked by Wycombe District Council as a country park, which has caused outrage amongst campaigners.
Planning officers were expected to come to a decision by January 29, however the date has been set back by a month, to allow the applicant to consider objections against the scheme, according to WDC.
A spokesperson for Wycombe District Council said: “We have agreed a further month to allow the applicant to comment on some more recent and highly relevant appeal decisions (from other areas).
“These appeals support the Council’s stance that the proposal conflicts with Green Belt policy.”
