A New Zealand rugby legend joined the mayor of Marlow and 18 teams at an annual charity golf day on Tuesday April 19.
All Blacks player Zinzan Brooke headed up a team of golfers who had bid for a place on his team. Mr Brooke is an ambassador for OK our Kids, a charity supported by mayor Bob Johnson.
The Flackwell Boys won the tournament, scoring 108 points, and the highest individual score for men went the Mark Abbas from team Scene Stealer. The highest individual score for ladies went to Bryony Moore, the ladies captain at Harleyford golf club.
The teams then joined the mayor for dinner and a charity auction.
Cllr Johnson said: “It was a fantastic day. I would like to thank all those who took part and those who have sponsored the event by providing auction, raffle prizes and sponsored holes.
“It was a pleasure to have the legendary Zinzan join us for this event and I hope he enjoyed his day’s golf.”
