A charity tea party and raffle will take place on Wednesday, May 18 from 2pm to 4pm at The Barn Club in Marlow Bottom. Homemade cakes, scones and tea will be on offer followed by a raffle with great prizes to raise money for Age UK. Cost is £6 per person which includes a raffle ticket. The Marlow Museum in on the hunt for the best young photographer in the town in conjunction with Love Marlow Festival. Judges are looking for the best photo taken anywhere in Marlow that depicts something the photographer enjoys doing. The closing date for entries is Sunday, June 5 at 5pm and the winners will be announced on the last day of Love Marlow on June 12. Entries will be split in to under 7’s, 7 to 11’s, and 12 to 18’s. Members from the Army regiment Grenadier Guards will help officially open the Higginson Exhibition at the Marlow Museum on Friday, April 29 at 10:30 am. The story of General George Higginson will be displayed and will be open to visitors following the opening. Entry is free.

A debate on the UK’s membership of the EU will take place at All Saints Church in Marlow from 5:30 to 7pm. MP for Beaconsfield Dominic Grieve will go head to head with John Petley from Campaign for an Independent Britain at the discussion called “Europe Stay or Leave” ahead of June’s referendum.

Marlow Bottom Fish and Chips will be taking part in National Fish and Chips day on Friday June 3. Town mayor Cllr Bob Johnson is hoped to attend the national celebration which brings together everyone involved in creating the iconic British dish, from fish and chip shops, pub chains, restaurants and retailers.

A French market will set up shop in Higginson Park over the bank holiday weekend. Authentic French produce including bread, cheeses, croissants, handbags and soap will be on offer from Saturday, April 30 to Monday, May 2 between 9am and 5pm.

The Marlow Jazz Club will host the award winning Jazz Guitarist Howard Alden at The Royal British Legion Hall on Tuesday, May 10 at 8:30pm. Mr Alden will appear with saxophonist Ollie Wilby, Simon Woolf on Bass and Denis Smith on drums as part of his UK tour. Bike shop Saddle Safari will host an ICE trike demo day on Saturday, May 7. ICE (Inspired Cycle Engineering) trikes are tricycles designed specifically for people with disabilities, although 50 percent at Saddle Safari are sold to able bodied people because they are so fun according to the shop’s owner, Andrew Rackstraw. A full range of trikes will be available to try on the day and ICE staff will pay a visit from Falmouth –where they are made – to offer advice and assistance at the store on Dean Street.

The Royal British Legion will host “Real Music, Real Ale” – an evening of Jazz, Blues and Funk on Friday, May 13. The Marlow Choral Society will present a Teatime Concert of Music at All Saints Church on Saturday, May 14. The choir will perform Faure’s Requiem and Cantique de Jean Racine. Doors open at 3pm. Tickets are £10 which includes tea and cake.

Marlovians will be able to meet some of the town's top businesses at a special event for the Marlow Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, May 14. A total of 12 businesses - from architects to retailers - from the chamber will be at the Garden Room in Liston Hall from 10am to 12pm to chat to residents about what they do. The event is free of charge and Waitrose will be providing free tea and coffee.
