A new queen of cakes has risen to stardom in High Wycombe after baking 1,000 cupcakes for charity.

Cakes of all colours, sizes and flavours were proudly displayed in Hobbycraft, at Wycombe Retail Park, at the weekend – but they did not stay there for long.

Within just two days, Joyce Howard-Edwards, sold all of the food, making £1,500 for Cancer Research.

The Marlow resident previously overcame cancer and has set about raising £10,000 for the national charity.

With money still coming in after her fourth annual cake sale, she has so fair collected £5,700.
