Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has agreed a takeover of another Marlow pub, the Bucks Free Press understands.

Already the owner of two popular businesses in the town, the award-winning chef now looks set to add O'Donoghues to his empire.

The Spittal Street sports bar has reportedly seen a lot of interest from the ‘Bake Off: Creme de la Creme’ presenter, with a takeover deal understood to be in place.

It will be Tom’s third venture in the town, following huge successes at West Street eateries The Hand and Flowers and The Coach.

His first venture with The Hand and Flowers made history in 2011 when it became the first pub to be awarded two Michelin stars.

And, in 2014 he took over the former Coach and Horses pub.

There has been no official confirmation of a takeover bid, but the Free Press understands that if it were to go ahead it would remain as a sport bar, with bar food also on offer.

Representatives of the chef have been approached for comment on the rumoured takeover.
