A popular high street bar and restaurant wants to expand into an antique and jewellers shop next door.

Marlow Bar and Grill, on Marlow High Street, is seeking permission to ‘link’ the eatery with Buckingham Antiques so it can increase the size of its dining space.

It is understood that the jeweller shop owners are giving up their lease, with the bar – which planning consultants say is “often full” - keen to grow into the extra space.

The restaurant’s agents – My Town Planning Consultancy – say the Bar and Grill has been a “good custodian” of the property since it moved in.

No specific plans have been released as to how the buildings will be linked.

Wycombe District Council is expected to rule on the plans by September.
