Tom Kerridge says he is "so proud" of his team at the award-winning Marlow gastropub, The Hand and Flowers, after it held on to its two Michelin stars for another year.

The Free Press reported that the popular eatery had retained its prestigious rating on Monday morning after it was announced at the live launch of the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2017.

The whole team behind the success of the pub are said to be "incredibly proud" and now the celebrity chef himself has commented on the achievement.

He said: "These guys put their heart, soul and lives into the catering industry, and to get this recognition yet again is a great achievement and wonderful recognition for all staff.

"It’s a wonderful achievement and I’m so proud of them all and their attitude to growth, the business and most importantly, the guests."

The renowned pub, on West Street, gained its first Michelin star within a year of opening in 2005 and a second star in the 2012.
