Toy Story stars, Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody, joined superhero Batman at the annual Marlow Half Marathon on Sunday.

More than 1,000 people - some in fancy dress - took part in the half marathon and the shorter race, the Marlow 7, on November 6.

Runners had to battle against thick fog in last year's race, which starts in Higginson Park, but the sun shone on this year's competitors.

The annual competition, organised by the Marlow Striders, saw 787 runners complete the 13.1 mile course, which offers picturesque views of the Chiltern Hills.

The first male to cross the half marathon finish line was Alexander Miller, with a time of 1:15:31.

Asia Zmyslona was the first female to cross the line in 1:29:19.

Meanwhile in the Marlow 7, Zachary Randall was the winner with a time of 0:37:30.

The first female to finish was Lucy Rogers, crossing the line in 0:45:43.

More than 300 people took part in the Marlow 7.

Marlow Striders has been running the event for over 25 years in a bid to raise money for charity.

More than £155,000 has been raised for local charities, with proceeds this year going to Carers Bucks, Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Marlow Sports Club.
