Chris Evans has been living life in the fast lane for the past year, but after sensationally quitting Top Gear, he is reigniting his passion for motors at a star-studded event in Marlow tonight.

The Radio 2 breakfast presenter will be joining Tom Kerridge for the premiere of the celebrity chef's Pop-Up Picture House, which launches at 7pm.

The former Top Gear presenter will also join the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car, together with a James Bond Aston Martin DB5 and the DeLorean from Back to the Future on the red carpet for the popular cinema launch.

The premiere falls on the same night as the Marlow Chamber of Commerce’s Late Night Shopping event, where residents will be able to enjoy a carol service, meet Santa Claus and his reindeer and visit more than 60 commercial and charity stalls in the town centre.

Chamber president, Anthony Cox, said: “It is progressing very well, there are over 60 stalls this year, which I think is up on previous years.

“We really must thank the Late Night Shopping committee for their hard work because it really is a lot of work to undertake.

“December 1 is the pop-up picture house’s first night, alongside Late Night Shopping, and Chris Evans will be officially launching it.

“It promises to be a great night with lots going on.”

Music and carols will also be performed by Razzamataz, Marlow Amateur Operatic Society and The Salvation Army band.

The festive evening kicks off at 6pm and shops in the High Street, West Street and Spittal Street will stay open until 9pm.
