An empty shop in Marlow High Street is set to be transformed as a luxury online clothing company prepares to open its first store.

Really Wild Clothing has signed a lease with Sorbon Estates for its first bricks and mortar store at 105 High Street.

Natalie Lake, who founded the company 15 years ago, said the “thriving” town was an “obvious choice” for their first shop.

She said: “It offers the perfect mix of country environment and premium High Street brands. The Really Wild customer wants the best of both life in the country and the city, so Marlow fits the bill brilliantly.

“We’ve built up our online presence over the last 15 years, and developed a physical presence through pop-ups at country fairs over the last 10, but we feel now is the right time to bring our collection to the High Street and allow customers to enjoy the garments first hand.”

The former interior designer is now working with retail specialists to transform the empty property before the shop’s official opening in early March.

A VIP launch night for customers is also being planned, with details to be released within weeks.

Chris Naylor, director of asset management at Sorbon Estates, said: “It’s wonderful to see yet another success story of an online, independent retailer being able to open a bricks and mortar store – a very positive sign that the high street can indeed thrive in a digital world.

“Really Wild Clothing is a welcomed addition to Marlow’s vibrant and distinct town centre and will no doubt enhance and complement the current offering.

“We look forward to the unveiling of this independent business with great anticipation.”
