An “inspiring” group of young musicians will be playing to a church full of fans in Marlow next weekend.
The Chiltern Music Academy (CMA) will be performing to delighted crowds at All Saints Church on The Causeway as part of an annual event by the Rotary Club of Marlow.
The event – which raises vital funds for local charities, including CMA – has been held by Rotarians for more than 20 years and will take place on March 4 this year.
The CMA musicians, who are aged between 12 and 18 from Marlow, High Wycombe and surrounding areas, will be performing musical numbers including Bach Concerto in D Minor and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
Three sections of the CMA, the string orchestra, youth choir and the main symphony orchestra, will be performing.
Lance Slater, Marlow Rotarian, said: “This is a very well-supported local event and we always get a church full. It is a great event to support local charities including the CMA.
“It is very inspiring and rewarding to see how talented these youngsters are.”
Standard tickets are £12 and include refreshments. They are available from the Marlow Information Centre, at the door on the night, from any Marlow Rotarian, or contact Lance Slater on lms@outlook.com.
The evening starts at 7.30pm.
