A broken down lorry caused traffic delays in a busy Marlow road yesterday afternoon.

The High Street was closed both ways and traffic was very slow because of the broken down vehicle which was between A4155 Spittal Street and Bisham Road.

Congestion on Little Marlow Road went back to Newtown Road and drivers were warned to expect delays.

Stuart Humphries was one of the first people on the scene and called police while helping to direct traffic around the tanker.

He said: "The clutch went and it would not go in automatic gear. The driver had travelled for about three hours, the tanker was empty at the time."
