A retirement housebuilder has launched a new competition to name its new development at Marlow Police Station.

Churchill Retirement Living is inviting residents to come up with a name for the development of 30 one and two bedroom apartments that are due to be built on the site of the former police station on Dean Street.

Plans to transform the Georgian building into flats for people aged over 60 were given the green light by councillors at Wycombe District Council in December.

Construction is due to start in the summer.

The competition closing date is Friday, May 5 and the winner will receive £100 from Churchill Retirement Living.

The winning name will also appear on the development itself and in all related marketing literature.

To enter the competition, send your suggested name – bearing in mind that all developments by the company end in “Lodge” - and the reason for it along with your name, address and phone number to: Yvette Christy, Marlow Naming Competition, Freepost, Churchill Retirement Living, by May 5.

If more than one person suggests the winning name, the winner will be drawn from a hat and the chosen name is subject to approval by the council.
