Marlow schools Sir William Borlase’s and Great Marlow had excellent A-Level results this year and the heads of both schools were keen to praise staff and students for all their hard work.

Dr Peter Holding, head teacher at Sir William Borlase’s, said: “We are very proud of these wonderful results, yet again this year.

“They represent the culmination of two years of hard work by our talented students and their teachers.

“We are still awaiting the final news of university places, but it does look as though the vast majority have secured their top choices.

“Amidst the general successes there were also some exceptional individual results, with 40 students gaining straight A grades or better, and five gaining all A*s.”

Kevin Ford, head teacher at Great Marlow School, added: “Another phenomenal year for Sixth Form students at Great Marlow School.

“The percentage of students achieving grades A*-B and A*-C was, once again, outstanding.

“These results demonstrate that the school is continuously providing high quality education and, very importantly, all students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

“We wish all our students every success as they progress to the next phase of their lives and thank them for their contribution to the cultural and social life of the school.

“In addition, I would like to thank all staff at the school, as these results are testament to their dedication and hard work.

“The achievements of this cohort of students will continue to inspire future generations.”
