Rowers from a Marlow school are set to take on a “dawn ‘til dusk rowathon” on Sunday to raise money for new equipment, including boats.
Teams from Sir William Borlase’s School Boat Club will compete against each other on rowing machines to see how many metres they can row from dawn until dusk, at Platt’s Garage, in West Street.
They are hoping to raise money for new equipment, from repairs and replacement parts, to new oars and boats.
A school spokesman said: “The club depends on this key fundraising event without which the crews would not be able to continue to compete at the top level or continue to introduce new generations of children to this great sport.”
Everyone is welcome to go along on the day to support the teams.
