A MAN who had sex with an 18-year-old virgin in Alexandra Park walked free from the Old Bailey last
week after he was cleared of rape.
Simon Bragg, 19, of Brady Street, Bethnal Green, had sex with the girl days after meeting her in a nightclub, when they met each other again by chance at Wood Green Tube Station.
The pair went for a walk on the afternoon of December 15 last year and sat and chatted in the childrens area of Alexandra Park, Wood Green, where they began to kiss and cuddle.
The court heard how they then had sex and the girl later claimed that Bragg had raped her while she screamed at him to stop.
During the case which was heard last Thursday, Bragg said the teenager had consented to sex.
He shouted and thanked the jury as he was unanimously cleared after less than two hours deliberation.
