CHESHAM United players will not be getting paid this week after a humiliating 2-1 defeat at home to county rivals Beaconsfield Sycob on Boxing Day.
Generals boss Luther Blissett was so disgusted with his players display he felt the team didn't deserve to pick up their weekly pay packets.
Blissett said: "We've had a chat in the changing room after the game to see what they want to do about things.
"I've suggested to them they don't get paid this week because the performance was so poor.
"We've agreed to let the money go elsewhere to a good cause."
That good cause is Troy Bantleman, Chesham's unsung midfielder who injured his cruciate ligament and is out for the rest of the season.
Blissett said: "It's a late Christmas present to him, but the players just weren't good enough.
"The game was a let down for everyone but this way someone at Chesham will benefit."
