Pupils off school after lightning strike

NURSERY and reception pupils will not be going to Marsh School tomorrow following today's lightning strike.

The school, in Abbey Barn Road, was struck by lightning at around 7.20 this morning.

Other year groups will still be attending.

Glyn Galbraith, chairman of the school's governors, said: "We are confident that the school will open in its entirety on Monday but tomorrow the nursery and reception classes will not be open.

"Parents have been informed."
