Bucks business awards launched
THE Bucks Ambassadors' Business Awards were launched tonight, in a bid to find the most outstanding companies the county has to offer.
The event took place in the Woodlands Lounge at Wycombe Wanderers Football Ground.
The annual awards celebrate the strongest achievements of the Bucks businesses world in a total of seven different categories.
Chris Williams, chief executive of Buckinghamshire county council said the county has "the highest rate of business start up in the whole country and the highest level of business survival."
Among the possible nominations are: Buckinghamshire international trade, company of the year, corporate social responsibility, entrepreneur of the year, innovation and enterprise, quality and skills development and small business of the year.
Mr Williams said: "The aim of the awards is to celebrate businesses that are already here." He added: "It's also to raise the profile of these companies to other companies."
Nominations must be received by July 1, and the awards dinner will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow, on October 16.
