Teenager hailed as next Billy Elliot by Judges
A TEENAGE dancer has been hailed as the next Billy Elliot by judges on a TV reality show.
Daniel Pirie, 13, who lives in High Wycombe, impressed judges on ITV hit show Britain's Got Talent, which was aired last night.
The Sir William Ramsay pupil cruised into the next round of the show after his contemporary ballet performance.
One of the judges, Amanda Holden, said: "I thought what you did today was very brave because it was very expressive, I thought you were very good.
"I think you really could be the Billy Elliot of this competition"
The youngster received the thumbs up from all three Judges, even Simon Cowell.
Judge Piers Morgan added: "Well you are a very good dancer, a very good dancer. It is a challenging thing to come on this show and do that, and it's quite a challenging thing for a boy of your age to come and do that, so I salute you for that.
"I was trying to imagine what it would be like for you in a West End show and I can see you doing that, you have a lot of talent."
Daniel said: "Dancing helps me a lot when I am feeling sad or if I am angry.
"Dancing is who I am; it is a part of me. It is not just a hobby it is my life. It lets me express how I am feeling"
His mum Jackie was a professional dancer, until an accident four years ago left her needing a walking stick.
Daniel added: "I think she really misses that. When she sees me dancing a lot I think she feels that she wishes she could do that again.
"I am doing it for myself but I am also doing it for my Mum"
Jackie said: "Daniel really does have amazing natural talent and he does dance from his heart.
"I am not a pushy showbiz mum or anything like that but he is just amazing, He really is amazing."
