"Face pack" car causes a stir in Frogmoor
 |
| Dip's VW Golf caked in mud in Frogmoor |
A MUDDY car appeared in the middle of Frogmoor and attracted the attention of passers by this morning.
A VW Golf, entirely caked in soil, was parked in the pedestrianised square at around 6am and puzzled people walking through the town centre.
The mysterious vehicle was not the result of an accident or a crime, but a stunt by advertising students at Buckinghamshire New University working on their final project.
Third year students Rob Graves-Morris, 22 and Dip Mistry, 26 - who used his own car for the spectacle - had been given the challenge of marketing Castrol motor oil.
They gave the car a mud "face pack" to show the oil could keep its engine running well - just like a motoring beauty regime.
Thames Valley Police officers have asked the students to move the car from Frogmoor.

Didn't know we had a "time centre" only a fountain that doesn't work. Hope it was parked over that!

If only it was a good advert idea... but alas it isn't. You've got to admire the nerve of the guy that did this though. It does make Frogmoor more picturesque, sadly!!!

We used our charm and it worked. Thanks again to the police who let us finish what we started. If 'needmoresleep' would like to come to our degree show and look at the final out come, we're sure that their opinion will change. Narrow minds need to be made broader.

awesome, with all the parking charges in wycombe going through the roof I now know I can park for free as long as i cover my car in soil. Small price to pay is what I say !

It looks like a work of art to me - it should be entered for the Turner Prize - it could be on par with Tracy Emin's bed!

If that means you need to cover vehicles in compost, then i'm all for it.
Much love.
