TOUGH-guy businessman Alan Sugar showed his softer side with a few words of sympathy for apprentice Lee McQueen, who called in sick for his first day of work.

New recruit Lee, 30, from Princes Risborough scooped a £100,000 job working for Sir Alan after winning The Apprentice TV show.

However, he picked up a virus while on holiday in Spain last week, forcing him to miss work on Tuesday.

Yesterday former Amstrad boss and multi-millionaire Sir Alan said: "What a shame for the poor fellow. He's flat on his back and he's sick as a parrot not just because he's sick but he's sick that he can't come in.

"He's phoning me every 10 minutes giving me chapter and verse of how many times he's visited the loo but I won't share (that) with you."

Sir Alan knows the importance of spin, he ain't gonna say "I got it very wrong" publically, in private I bet he is fuming...

And as if he would take Lee's calls every 10 minutes, more like Francis is and saying "I'm sorry, he's in a meeting"

What a load of twaddle

I felt a bit peaky myself this morning and I didn't really want to get up. Perhaps the Bucks Free Press would like to come round my house and do story on this? Or, perhaps they could report some REAL news. There's a novel idea for you!
