A MAN punched a 21-year-old woman in the face after she got out to speak to him when their cars collided.

The incident happened near Beaconsfield Arms in Hughenden Road at 10.30pm on Sunday.

She was not injured but was left "shocked and shaken" police said.

A statement from Thames Valley Police said: "At about 10.30pm, a 21-year-old woman was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa near the Beaconsfield Arms in Hughenden Road when her car was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

"The woman got out of her car to speak to the driver of the other vehicle involved but he punched her in the face before making off.

"The man is white, skinny and about 6ft 3ins. The victim did not manage to see the car he was driving and she did not sustain any visible injuries but was left shocked and shaken."

Anyone with information can call PC Tom Day at High Wycombe police station on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

How did she not notice the car details - even the colour - before he drove off? Surely when she hit it (after not seeing it the first time i imagine)she would have noticesd SOMETHING about it?

In a moment of shock like that its very easy to forget important details like car colour/type etc.

Is there any cctv along that road? Maybe that can help

At the end of the day whether she noticed details of the car or not, that thug should not have punched her and driven off, I hope he is caught.

People are so aggressive when driving these days. No one has a right to punch someone else like that. Hope the next person he 'collides' with gives as good as they get. I am surprised no one in the pub saw anything, considering there's always a bunch of people outside smoking.

Are we missing the point here?
Sure it's bad that she got punched but if she had an accident whilst on the mobile phone and never saw the car she hit??? I for one want to know more detail about this story because I want to avoid this young lady. She sounds like an accident waiting to happen!

... But if she didn't even know what car she'd hit!!!

She's young, been involved in an accident and then punched in the face. I am sure with hindsight she wants to remember the car involved and if she is ever in any type of accident again she will not be forgetting!

Unfortunately if she has to make an insurance claim she will be the one out of pocket after the excess is paid!

As any insured road driver will tell you, if you hit a car infront of you it is your fault, this girl would get no compensation if she tried to claim.

As for my mobile ohone comment, it was a joke, I was going to say "applying her makeup" but the accident happened at night...

Once again you are assuming the car she hit was in front. No where in the report does it mention who was where or who was at fault.

The only details of the accident are that her car was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

This is her story. Is it true or a fabrication. No witnesses, no description, he punched her in the face but there were no visible injuries"?
What is wrong with this picture? When did she report this to the police? Who was at fault (if it was a two car collision). Too many unanswered questions. Come on BFP, let's do some investigative reporting and report all of the facts.

Don't be daft... BFP follow up on anything other than M40 incidents this was on the A4128!
