POLICE have released a CCTV image in the hunt for a man who tried to take photographs up a woman's dress in ASDA.

A man approached a 30-year-old woman from behind and attempted to take the pictures at the supermarket in Booker, High Wycombe on July 15, police said.

They are looking to speak to the man pictured.

Anyone with information can contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I'm assuming the CCTV has been checked against the tills, in which case, if the man paid by card, his information could be gleamed from that sale. So, he must have paid with cash. This is assuming of course, that he didn't make a sharpish exit once people / the woman realised what he was upto. Which I think we can assume he did?

He looks like a bit of a 'fiddler' to me. Pink shirt, tie (with clip), short hair. What was he doing in Asda? He must work locally, I'd say office based, with possibility of meeting clients /the public, sales / agent of some kind perhaps. Perhaps Marlow, bit of a trek into town if you're short of time and have a 'mission' to accomplish. Asda is just off the M40, nice and 'quick'. He's left handed too.

What a perv.

I bet if you looked at other days on the CCTV, you'll find him in there again. He'll be dressed in a very similar fashion to the way he is in the photo. He won't go near the clothes but he will buy stuff and he'll pay by credit card. Is it illegal to use purchase records to track someone down?

It says the alleged offence took place on the 13th July. That’s a month ago! Surely they could have got the pictures out quicker so the cumminty can be safe from the person who committed the alleged offence?

Let’s hope they catch him and get him treatment – what a perv!

I'd assume they would have. Most stores do. Can't say I've been to Asda recently though.

I had a bad experience whilst shopping in Florida that put me off supermarkets for life. I'll never go near a frozen food aisle again.. atleast not whilst driving a golf cart and towing a hippo anyway. *shudder*

I doubt it was a pink shirt. Look at the rest of the colours in the picture, its all sort of pink stained. He was probably wearing a white shirt.

What colour is the floor by the doors in Asda? (I assume its the main doors as there are trolleys and baskets in the rear of the shot.)

I think the floors are white/off white. If you look at the photo, everything inside is slightly pinkish, this is probably due to floursecent lighting they use in the lobby has made the detail inside look off colour. We have this on one of the cameras in my shop - caused by bright sunlight coming through the front door yet all other cameras are fine.

Put the picture into something like photoshop and tone the red hue down a little, until the floor is white / off white. That'll give us the colour of his shirt. The guy clearly needs a good holiday.. Mr Pale!

Why didn’t the police spot the problem with the colour temperature of the lights?

They may be looking for a man in a pink shirt when it was actually white/off white. No wonder so many of the criminals are getting off scott free!

However.... IF the person who was allegedly assaulted described the assailant as wearing a pink shirt and the police found this man in a pink shirt (due to the cameras distorting the colour) on the CCTV then this may not be the man who committed the crime....

Everyone who has made a remoark on the colour need to realise that the basket is green and the colour comes out fine for that, the shirt can no way be white/off white or ivory... unless you're colour blind

I think it's sick and disgusting. He should be locked up as soon as he's found. People shouldn't be allowed to wear shirts like that in public.
Judging by the bad fit around the neck and shoulders, I'd say it was a George shirt. He should have gone to M&S.

Was he using a camera cell phone or was it a regular camera or digital camera. Here in the States, the pervs are using cell phone cameras.
