A 19-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious head injuries after being attacked during a night out with friends.

The man had been at Revolution Bar in Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield, when he was attacked after visiting a kebab van in Penn Road.

He is in a "serious but stable" condition after being taken to Wexham Park Hospital, police said today.

It is not known how many people attacked the man, but police say no weapons were used.

The incident took place between 2.30am and 3am on Thursday, with police issuing a witness appeal today.

Investigating officer Det Con James Oxley said: "I would like to hear from anyone who can help the police investigation, especially anybody who possibly witnessed any trouble at the bar earlier that evening or the actual attack."

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Oxley on 08458 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Another crime committed on the streets of a supposedly peaceful town.

Let's hope they catch the thugs who did it.

i think the time has come for this place to have decent CCTV and a heavier police presence in town at kicking out time.

Hope the chap is ok and the thugs are found and punished.

that kebab van is always surrounded by the boys and girls in blue, sadly they are not policing, they are munching.

I assume this is drink related. About time we seriously think again at how the message on being drunk or alcohol is conveyed. You don't seem to get the same level of violence on the continent.

Sadly wycombe is full of CCTV and they never see, to catch any serious crimes like this on it. CCTV is a huge hype at the cost to the council tax payer. Trust me!!

Unfortunately the kebab van in question is about half a mile away from the bar in Beaconsfield. Pretty sure there is CCTV though in that area near Waitrose. There is certainly a massive mobile phone mast - lets get our priorities straight here eh!
