SHOOTING: Marlow Rifle and Pistol Club provided all six members of the Bucks team which won the Queen Alexandra Cup at the National Smallbore Rifle Shooting Championships at Bisley.
The team of Tom Brunning, Phil Martin, Mel Mutch, Janet Nicholl, Martyn White, and Angus Williamson won through the competition which is for single-shot .22-calibre target rifles, firing at a range of 25 metres, to take the cup for the ninth time.
They also entered the Club Teams of Three competition and their line-up of Brunning, Nicholl and Williamson tied on the top score of 1,188 with a team from the Framlingham with the Sussex side winning on countback from the demanding skirmisher stage.
In the individual competition, White, who has won this competition several times before, was dissatisfied with his overall fourth place this time while in the County Sextette, shot at ranges of 50 metres and 100 yards, Bucks were narrowly beaten into second place by Essex
