A MAJOR new film released in cinemas this week stars a budding young actor from Chesham Bois.

Arrun Harker landed the part in Shoot on Sight, a movie based on the aftermath of the 7/7 bombings.

The film has a 15 certificate, meaning 13-year-old Arrun can't watch it at the cinema.

But he saw himself in action when the film had its premiere in London earlier this year.

The Dr Challoner's Grammar School pupil said: I felt really proud and really lucky that I was chosen. I worked really hard and seeing the end result was a real thrill.'' Arrun said he would love to be an actor when he's older.

Mum Mimi, a Chiltern district councillor, said: "I was so proud of him when he got the part. Hundreds and hundreds of children audition for parts like these and it is so lovely to see him rewarded for all the hard work that goes into preparing for some of these auditions.

"I'm so very proud of him and for him. He deserves his success - he is a really hard worker."

Arrun plays Imran Ali, the son of lead character Tariq, played by Bollywood star Naseeruddin Shah.
