A COUNCIL is hoping residents will make a green start to 2014 by taking a more eco-friendly approach to their travel arrangements.
Transport for Buckinghamshire and Buckinghamshire County Council are offering people a limited number of Personalised Travel Plans (PTPs) to help show the choices available - whether cycling, walking, car share or public transport.
These plans provide all the options for a journey, showing useful comparative information such as journey time, calories burnt, car share partners and levels of carbon dioxide emitted.
Cabinet member for Planning and Transportation, Janet Blake said: "A Personalised Travel Plan is a great way for residents to explore all the options available for their journey, helping them to choose a more sustainable mode which suits their needs."
To receive your PTP please email travelchoice@buckscc.gov.uk with details of the start and end point of your journey and the times you wish to travel.
For information or advice regarding sustainable travel visit High Wycombe library on Friday, January 24, from 10:30am to 2:30pm where a travel surgery will be taking place.
