Muslims raise £2219 for Bucks hospitals charity

A MUSLIM group presented a High Wycombe charity with £2219 which was collected from worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Wycombe Islamic Mission and Mosque Trust handed over a cheque to Scannappeal, which raises money to buy life saving equipment for hospitals in south Buckinghamshire.

That is what people don't realise. During Ramadan,muslims not only fast but they donate more to charity.

I read the statement from our local Muslim leaders in the BFP. Its great and just the sort of thing that the non Muslim community needs, so they are reassured that these acts are as abhorrent to the majority of Muslims as they are to the rest of us.

So often the voice of the majority is not heard,then everyone in that community is judged by the words and actions of the news catching extremists.

Well done to our local Muslim community for having the strength and wisdom of their own faith, to enable them to raise their voice and be heard.
