Ex-Marlow students make budget film

FILM makers say their movie, made mainly in Marlow, aims to prove big money is not essential to create something "beautiful and meaningful".
Two former pupils of Sir William Borlase's School in Marlow are the creative forces behind short feature film Echo Restless, which was produced with a mere £700.
Francis Newall and Matthew Diegan shot most of the scenes in and around Marlow, with a smaller part captured in Pembrey, South Wales.
The topic of their indie production is conflicting aspects of British culture.
Francis, 25, director and writer, said: "We hope to prove in some way that you don’t need a big budget to create a movie that is beautiful and meaningful."
Described as a road trip movie, Matthew, 24, co-writer and producer, said: "It is the biggest most ambitious project we have ever done. It’s been an incredible amount of work, but very inspiring.
"We hope to propose an explanation for the British sensibility and counter-culture."
The film is set to to be finished for screening just before Christmas.
