Community news for Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Loudwater and the Wooburns

TELEVISION personality Isla St Clair will perform a nostalgic collection of songs and show film clips that take you back in time on November 3 at 8pm at St Paul's Church Hall in Wooburn Green. The show is called Heroes and Villains with Isla St Clair and is part of Theatre in the Villages, which aims to bring professional theatre to your doorstep. FLACKWELL HEATH and Loudwater Local History Group is proposing to research the stories of the men on the local war memorial. FLACKWELL HEATH British Legion has entertainment from ‘Matt and his Music’ tomorrow from 8pm. The Legion also has a Poppy Appeal dance on Sunday, when Cookie and The Blue Jays will be performing. Tickets for the latter event are £5.

THE Three Horseshoes pub in Flackwell Heath has a Halloween party this evening from 7.30pm, with fancy dress and a live band.

BOURNE END WI next meets on Thursday, November 1 at St Dunstans Church Hall, from 7.15 pm. New members are welcome. There will be demonstrations of Christmas table decorations as well as the annual meeting. Any queries call Kaye Edmondes on 01494 438600.
