ROTARIANS from around the Thames Valley raised £12,000 as their district governor embarked on a ‘drivathon’ to mark World Polio Day last Wednesday.
Judith Diment drove to all 63 Rotary Clubs in the area as part of the sponsored trip to raise money and awareness for Rotary’s 'End Polio Now' campaign.
Waiting for her at the King’s Head in Little Marlow were rotarians from Bourne End and Cookham, Henley, Reading, Windsor and Marlow.
The Bourne End and Cookham Rotary Club hopes to raise more money for the campaign at their quiz night in February, for which Judith has already signed up.
