Police still not releasing details about Horns Lane find
12:33pm Monday 29th October 2012 in News By Lawrence Dunhill
An officer in Horns Lane on Saturday
POLICE are still investigating after military apparatus was discovered buried at Booker Common on Saturday (see related links).
Thames Valley Police has since refused to release more details about the equipment found off Horns Lane, and spokesman said today: “This is subject to an ongoing investigation and the officers do not want any further information disclosed at this time.”
Forensics and armed officers were spotted at the scene over the weekend, but Supt Barry Halliday said yesterday: “The item that we found was not dangerous and did not need to be made safe.
“I would again like to stress that we do not believe that the equipment that has been found at Booker Common is related to any type of terrorist activity.”
On Saturday he said that no ammunition had been found.

What could the mystery object be? Perhaps an army surplus potato peeler? Or maybe the whole incident was just a training exercise?

I hope the BFP keep pushing to discover what the mystery object discovered on Booker common was and keep us updated....
