SCANNAPPEAL supporters were able to see the new James Bond film the day before the national release at a special charity premiere at The Odeon in Gerrards Cross.

The Skyfall screening was preceded by a talk by Terry Bamber, the production unit manager on the new release and several other Bond films, who kept the audience enthralled with behind the scenes anecdotes.

An Aston Martin was parked at the entrance to the cinema, alongside a four metre hoarding of Daniel Craig in action and guests were photographed on arrival in true film premiere style.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the £500,000 Digital Breast Screening Appeal for Wycombe Hospital to create a totally digital breast screening service, making Bucks one of the few counties to offer such a facility and radically improving diagnosis of early breast cancer.

Co-sponsored by B P Collins LLP, solicitors in Gerrards Cross and Rouse Partners, accountants in Beaconsfield, the event raised nearly £3,500 for the charity.
