Misbourne students stuck in New York
12:17pm Thursday 1st November 2012 in News By Rebecca Cain
The Misbourne School
A GROUP of sixth form students from a Great Missenden school who are in New York do not know when they will return to the UK, following Superstorm Sandy.
The 31 students and three members of staff from The Misbourne went to the city on an Arts and Culture trip during half term.
But whilst they were there the storm hit, meaning their return journey home is proving difficult to arrange.
The group, who were staying near Times Square, planned to see some shows on Broadway, museums and art galleries.
They are all safe and well and were due to return to the UK today.
The school do not yet have a date for their return, but they are working closely with the travel agent and British Airways to get them home.
They have been in constant contact with the trip leader and the families in the UK.
Meanwhile the students are doing some of the activities that were planned before the storm hit.
