A HIGH Wycombe band are gearing up to play at Scorpio's tonight ahead of their new single launch.
Feud, who have been together since 2005, are looking forward to returning to the venue in Crendon Street which singer, Greg Combrinck, 30, said is really boosting the music scene in the town.
He said: "The last time we played Scorpio's it was really great. When we had played at The Nags Head before it seemed like the music scene in High Wycombe was dying.
"Scorpio's came about and it completely changed. It seems like music is back and every one is loving it."
The other three members are Greg's brother, Guy Combrinck, 35, on drums, Ian Harper, 35 on guitar and Tom Syrett, 25 on bass guitar.
They last played at Scorpio's at the beginning of the summer before going to record their new singles at Outhouse Studios in Reading.
Greg, who recently moved from High Wycombe to Henley, said: "It was amazing. We recorded back there in 2007. Every young band or not so young band should record there."
Their new singles are Floater, Medicine and Miles Away. They play rock music and are influenced by the likes of The Killers, Foo FIghters and similar bands.
Greg said, who works in Reading at an online bookstore, said: "We just want to be able to keep gigging and keep recording and have fun doing it."
The Feud Single Launch Gig is tonight (Friday) at 8pm. Release The Bats and Incarna will also be playing. Go to www.feudmusic.com

They're not wrong, the crowds and bands at Scorpios are getting bigger and better, almost literately by the week. It's great to see a live music venue growing and building a following in these hard times.
It's a shame BFP doesn't give them any coverage so people know what's happening. Instead we get Igor constantly moaning about the people and places in Wycombe.
