WITCHES, vampires and ghouls took part in a four-legged pub crawl to raise money for a community centre in their village.

Twenty people dressed up for the crawl around Lane End and raised more than £1,100 for the Lane End Youth and Community Centre.

Every team donated a carved pumpkin which was then used to create a ‘pumpkin path’ across Wheeler End common, to light the way for the revellers.

The pubs each offered cut-price drinks and The Peacock at Bolter End put all its potential income back into the collection pot.

LEYCC Chair Katy Donaghue thanked Neil Butler for organising the event.
