A VOLUNTEER who has played a vital role in taking photographs of pets in need of new homes has been awarded for her hard work.
Nicky Johnson from Stokenchurch was nominated by staff at the Blue Cross centre in Lewknor for her dedicated work and tireless commitment.
She was honoured at the Oxfordshire Charity and Volunteer Awards 2012, Jolene Gibbs, volunteer coordinator at Lewknor, said: "Nicky is extremely passionate about all the animals and photography.
She ensures only the best photos will do and has a clear understanding of the importance of pictures as a way of matching potential rehomers who search our website.
"Photos of the cats, dogs, kittens and puppies are a vital window to people thinking of taking on a rescue pet"
