Residents get chance to speak on Marlow's 'anti yob zone'
9:29am Sunday 18th November 2012 in News By James Nadal
A PIONEERING anti-yob zone in Marlow will come under the spotlight on Monday night as residents get a chance to air their views on the trial.
An experimental policing area, which gives officers the power to banish potential troublemakers for 24 hours, was set up in March.
The dispersal zone is in operation around Gunthorpe Road and police say so far it has been successful in lowering the number of reports of anti-social behaviour.
A public meeting on Monday will enable townsfolk to grill council and police chiefs.
It will be chaired by Councillor Richard Scott.
Speakers include Inspector Ray Wilks, youth worker Matthew Woolley and Dr David O’Halloran from Mediation Bucks.
It takes place from 7pm at the Marlow Christian Fellowship Hall at Foxes Piece School, Newfield Road, Marlow, SL7 1JW.

There's this woman down my street who's got four kids and hasn't worked in 20 years. All that time she's claimed benefit. What a liberty! She should get out and find a job. I don't care if she's 83, I'm not paying for her out of my taxes!

It doesn't say she has never worked it says she has not worked for 20 years - and given her age that has been stated that would mean since she has retired!
Funny post Tudor Bush - not so funny response tigeran ;-p

Like you say, if you have never contributed then you have obviously never worked (actual and proven disabilities aside) and therefore should not be entitled to ANYTHING least of all children as those on benefits seem to generally cause trouble as they have no respect for real people.Cannot understand why they are given houses to live in?! Big warehouses with dormitories is still too good!

On the view of the story though I have to say that the disbursement order has made a huge difference - I live on this estate and work hard for my home. I have been made to feel intimidated a number of times and had my car vandalised. A majority of the "youths" (I don't really like that term) are polite and treat their neighbouts with respect but there is a small group that is just vile.

I know for a fact that most of them come from families that dont give two hoots about anyone else. They are gutter trash.
