A WOMAN had to be cut out of her car and taken to hospital after a crash on the M40 this morning.

The accident, between Beaconsfield and the M25 turn off, happened about 8.30am and involved a Ford Ka driven by the injury victim, and a BMW.

Police said she was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough with minor injuries.

Fire crews extracted her from the vehicle.

There were lengthy delays and long queues on the London bound stretch of the motorway from the time of the collision until roughly 11am.

The vehicle was removed about 10am, police said.
