NEW ORLEANS singing legend Lillian Boutté performed to a sell-out audience packing into Christ Church URC in Marlow.
Eight members of Sir William Borlase's School gospel choir were pulled onstage to perform with Lillian and the band - bringing the audience to its feet and winning them the biggest cheer of the night.
The gig was organised jointly by Martin Ashford and Michael Eagleton.
Mr Ashford said: "Performing with an outstanding band of Denny Ilet jnr (guitar), Dan Moore (piano), Andy Crowdy (bass) and Daisy Palmer (drums), Miss Boutté had the audience in the palm of her hand as she performed a programme mainly comprising gospel music.
"From “Joshua fit the battle of Jericho” to Bill Gaither’s “He touched me”, the songs certainly touched an enthusiastic audience.
" And for “What a wonderful world” the singer made her way around the audience, exchanging handshakes and hugs with the whole crowd."
