CAR keys were stolen from homes in two burglaries that hit Stokenchurch in the early hours of last Friday.

Between 1.30am and 4am intruders broke into a house in Marcourt Road while the occupants were asleep and stole the keys of a vehicle but they did not drive the car.

Police said they also broke into a house in Springfield Road between 1.30am and 4am.

After stealing the car keys from the house they attempted to escape in a vehicle parked on a driveway but they were disturbed.

As a result, they reversed the vehicle into a bush and ran off.

Two white men wearing dark clothes were seen in the area, one of them had a black woollen hat and a padded jacket. He was of slim build and about 5ft.

-Compact or dispose of packaging discreetly to avoid criminals to spot something you’ve discarded and can target you for their next burglary or theft.
-Remember to always lock your car and close the windows properly, even if you’re only gone a few moments.
-Always try to lock all merchandise or packages in a safe and hidden place in your car.
-Have your car key in your hand as you approach the door.
-Stay alert to your surroundings and the people around you. Look inside your car and around it as you approach before clicking the remote key fob.

hope it helps you keep safe!
