POLICE are investigating reports of a rape which is alleged to have taken place in the Revolution Bar in Beaconsfield.

Officers say the incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Sunday, December 9 at the Maxwell Road bar.

The alleged victim, a 16-year old girl, reported that the rape took place in Revolution Bar sometime between 1.30am and 2.00am.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Simon Johnson said, “This is believed to be an isolated incident in which the offender was known to the victim. It occurred in the vicinity of a crowded bar and we are appealing for anyone who may have information to assist with our investigations to contact us.”

Mark Grant, manager of Revolutions in Beaconsfield, told the BFP: “We have been cooperating with the police and are helping them with the investigation.”

A 19-year old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed until January 23.
